My garments are definitely out-of-the-box, but hey what’s in the box? I can design or create looks of any kind. Give me the subject and goal of the situation and let me do my work. I would pile baskets of clothing together and come to the rescue. Also if I don’t have the item, I would make it. My life consists of me being a crazy collector of everything. I could find any prop as well. I love estate sales, flea markets, garage sales, rummage sales, thrift stores. Styles are recycled and I think the original is better, with a new funky twist.
I love sewing and creating unique garments. My latest collection is made up of neon spandex garments. My garments mix old with new, takes the past and sews it together with the present. Each garment is unique and handcrafted, recycled materials preserving our pasts and making way for our future.
I also love producing fashion shows, and being a part of them. I have done a variety of different shows!!
In addition to creating my collection, I am also working towards a teaching degree. I had the opportunity to assist as an art teacher at Detroit Country Day Lower School, and realized teaching little inspiring minds is the best thing ever. I help within the school whenever the opportunity presents itself. In the mean time, I give private sewing lessons in my studio located in Royal Oak. I like to offer a variety of options when giving a lesson. I have a method of “make it and take it” giving the student the ability to learn how to make a project of their choice, and bring it home that day!! Sewing has slowly been pushed away as a skill commonly known, but I think with our generation, reality TV shows have helped restore the power of sewing skills. Opening up individuals minds to the knowledge of how the idea can be created into reality. Therefore, giving children at a younger age the want and drive to learn how to sew. I want to be the one that helps them learn the skill.

Angie! You and your spandex are pretty much the coolest thing EVAH!
